This hypothetical project was located on a 100 acre, mixed-use development site. The northern portion had previously housed a golf course and had a small restaurant. The southern portion is basically untouched woodlands with a few protected waterways. We were tasked with developing a site for various kinds of residential spaces, a commercial space, office spaces, a public realm park, and various pocket parks. This was the biggest project I have worked on and it really tested what I thought I knew.

What I learned from this project...

The pace of this project was quick. This semester I had to further learn time management, how best to use my time. That was something I thought I already had a good grasp on. Another thing I had to learn was when to stop with graphics. I struggle with working too long on them, knowing there is always something that can be better. The extra time I spent on graphics could have been used on other aspects that compliment the graphics.

Tasks learned in this project:

- Master planning

- Schematic design

- Construction document creation and design

- Graphic creation process
